Sheepskin (Swedish Finewool)
Swedish finewool pelts are slightly thinner than traditional Leicester pelts and great for using in a stroller or bassinet, on bed or on furniture for decoration.
Wool is naturally flame resistant and static resistant. Studies have shown that babies sleeping on wool settle more quickly, wake and cry less, sleep longer, and gain weight faster. When used for bedding it is recommended that babies under 12 months old are positioned on their backs and the lambskin is covered with a fitted sheet.
We only trade with skins that are left natural that means no shape cutting or wool dye/bleach. That gives you a unique skin with slight difference in shape, size and smoothies of skin side of pelt. un-manipulated wool has a good level of lanolin (which is what gives wool its soothing properties). Please note that variations may occur, we do our best to describe/picture the skins for you to receive a product that corresponds to your expectations.
Wool’s soft hollow fibers “breathe” and help regulate body temperature so wool keeps baby warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet, keeping baby always dry and comfortable.
New skins may shed slightly and skin side of may dust on textiles, make sure to protect furniture accordingly.
